Organic Cold-Pressed Coconut Oil For Dry Dog Paws...

We use Natural, Organic & Cold-Pressed Coconut Oil as a key ingredient in Soft Paws as it’s renowned for its soothing, healing and moisturising properties. Coconut oil is the perfect ingredient for Soft Paws as its anti-allergenic health benefits mean it penetrates deep into the pad, calming any irritating itchiness.
All things considered, Soft Paws has this wonder ingredient included because coconut oil for dry dog paws works wonders.

Why Coconut Oil?

The awareness and popularity of coconut oil have exploded in recent years. You’ll find endless articles online about how this miracle moisturiser can both soothe and heal skin all kinds of skin problems and it’s no different in our paw balm.
We knew we needed an amazingly moisturising ingredient that worked hard in our wonder balm. Coconut oil becomes soft and melts when it comes into contact with the heat of the skin; combined with our waxy beeswax it’s the perfect combination as the oil deep into the pores and nourishes the skin whilst being protected for licks by the breathable beeswax barrier. This deeply penetrating effect is doubly good in Soft Paws as the oil carries with it the other active, healing ingredients in the paw balm deep into the paw.
A dog’s paw is in contact with the ground constantly. Coconut oil is a proven anti-inflammatory so helps with the primary causes of paw inflammation such as insect bites, cracks and damage, dryness and constant chewing & licking. Inflammation aside paws just become dry and damaged due to everyday wear and tear – the pads start to dry out, this, in turn, leads to them cracking and subsequently infection can quickly take hold leading to further, more severe problems.
We choose Organic, Cold-Pressed Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil in Soft Paws.
Why cold-pressed?
Well, it basically means that during the process used to extract the oil from the coconut is mechanical. The oil never reaches a significant temperature, as doing so would start to impact the health benefits and degrade its effectiveness. Cold pressing means that the oil has not been heated, refined; processed or deodorized meaning it keeps 100% of its natural goodness.

Coconut oil for dry dog paws, helping moisturise & heal your dog’s paw pads...

We've taken great care to not only choose organic, cold-pressed coconut oil because it meets our need for a healing, moisturising and anti-fungal agent oil for Soft Paws. Coconut oil also has a ton of paw benefits unto itself!
Coconut oil is an incredible antimicrobial and anti-fungal. The natural properties of the oil kill bacteria thanks to the lauric acid that makes up a large portion of coconut oils composition. This same compound destroys fungi and yeast – which naturally get picked up by the pads and can enter the body if the paws are dry, cracked and damaged.

Coconut oil is incredibly good for nourishing and moisturising the delicate skin of the pads. The oil is full of saturated fats, essential in moisturising the skin and soothing dry areas that cause itchiness and irritation. The added benefit of using coconut oil in Soft Paws is that because it’s naturally quickly absorbed into the skin and penetrates deep into the cells, taking with it the other healing properties of the Soft Paws balm. Coconut oil also helps naturally flush out dirt from pores as it nourishes which leads to better overall pad health.
